Who in the heck is Michael Hermon? Fourteen years...yes, that is why I have to laugh when our idiot sportswriter, Bob Kravitz, suggests that IU should go after Tom Izzo for our next coach. Why would he leave Michigan State, why would Calipari leave Memphis, Pitino exit Louisville, Pearl abondon Tennessee, etc. All of those schools have their own tradition and have rising programs. Any coach looking at IU right now has to wonder (and anticipate)just who will be playing for IU next year. I suspect there will be several current players who will opt to go elsewhere; combine that with the seniors graduating and Gordon going pro and the recruits looking for other more promising situations...what's left? My guess is that IU will only appeal to a young coach from a mid-major or someone like Dan Dakich. Oh well, we shall see.
